Research-Help
Via the centered search-bar on the homepage, or in the right end corner at the beginning of every page but the homepage, you are able to do a full-text search and find the records you are looking for in "Digitales Senckenberg-Archiv". Via "search-details" you can narrow-down your research and look for specific parameters, for instance year, keywords, authors, etc.
To take the most out of your research, you have to keep in mind a few things:
- if you enter any biographical metadata, you may only get results from those data which describes a record. There won't be any results from the full-text search.
- if you are narrowing down your research by entering words into the fields of "title" and "fulltext", the results won't be necessarily specific - you may get results which include similar words
- wildcard like ? and * are not supported
- if you want to look for records from a specific time frame, you can either enter 1870-1900 or 1870 until 1900. It will bring the same results.
- right truncation: if you enter geo, the results displayed will include records/full-text with geography and georg
- if you're looking for a specific phrase, put it in quotation marks
